How to Murder Your Dear Wife

(and get away with it)

Meet Martin, a broke British drama teacher trying to make ends meet in a picturesque Irish town. Saddled with a subprime mortgage containing terms & conditions that even loan sharks would disapprove of, he seeks a deadly escape route. A healthy payout would be some consolation should anything happen to his dear wife, like being bitten by the viper housed in his terrarium (It’s like a corner of Arizona but in the good room).

Enter Laura, a beautiful staff nurse and medieval weaponry expert who has ruthless plans of her own. None of them involve being murdered.

Accusations of being an MI6 operative complicate Martin’s plans, and with dissident Republicans, possibly the Taliban, and Ed Sheeran breathing down his neck, he unwittingly sets the stage for murder. Someone is going to die!

Chapter 80

Random Facts

The book is set in real locations in a single county- Westmeath, in the middle of Ireland. The one exception is when key characters take a trip to an All-Ireland game of hurling

A fun and uncomfortable read to say the least, that left me in a world of laughter. Also loved the pacing and ability to throw in and deliver a shockingly new comical twist, or two, with the van and boat.
